Installing a remote car starter is a complex process that can take 3 or more hours to complete. The remote starter connects to the vehicle’s wiring at the key switch, electrical system, lights, tachometer, brake lights, etc. Many newer vehicles will require extra parts and labor to install a car starter. Today’s newer vehicles use chips embedded into the key or security systems in the car. These need to be bypassed in order to install a remote car starter, requiring some customers to have to give up a key or have extra costs in order for the remote to be installed.
